WE LOVE WET WEATHER!

Spats Boots are designed in Dalston, east London, by Talk about the Weather Ltd. The company was founded in 2009 by two old friends, Imogen and Hattie, with a vision to create cool wet weather clothing by reviving classic vintage designs with a contemporary twist.

"I first had the idea for Spats while on a yoga retreat in the Nilgiri Mountains, South India, during the monsoon. It rained solidly for six weeks and so I bought a pair of old fashinoned men's galoshes in the market and literally lived in them as I stomped up and down the muddy slope to the studio every day. When I got back to the UK, I contacted the factory that made them and it all grew from there. After two years of sampling and several trips to India we created the prototype, the first pair of black and white Spats." Imogen

They are manufactured in ethically and environmentally audited factories in Northern China and India and then finished in the UK.
